PAGE TWENTY-ONE

1 EXT. ALLEYWAY - NIGHT

Grip and a ninja clash swords.

NARRATION
In any ninja clan the nukenin must be brought back dead or alive.

2 ALLEYWAY - CONTINUOUS

Close-up of just Grip’s face: his grimace is cut visually by the diagonal line of his sword blade that he holds up in front of him. It drips blood.

NARRATION
But for a betrayer of The Hand...

NARRATION
Alive is not one of the options.

3 ALLEYWAY - CONTINUOUS

Grip drives a sword into the ninja’s chest.

NARRATION
Those I fought tonight were but a fraction of The Hand’s total forces, and the least skilled at that.

NARRATION
More will come for me. For the remainder of my living days they will come for me.

NARRATION
Not only out of the need to restore the clan’s honor, but to prevent me from sharing the secrets I know.

Again, I didn't want to cover up the art with text boxes, so I killed the last line and pushed the other two of this last panel to the next page. I think it works a lot better there- he's speaking of fighting in the past tense and that doesn't really gel with the fact that he's currently running a guy through with a sword.
