Grip stands in the foreground and watches as Glowing Eyes holds a ball of light in his left hand and throws an identical one with his right hand.

Closer shot of what Grip is watching (Grip not in the frame): a ball of light passes through one charging ninja’s torso without affecting him, another ball of light hits a ninja in the head and he is knocked backwards, writhing in pain.

Glowing Eyes spins and fires a ball of light at Grip.

5 CITY STREET - CONTINUOUS

Close-up: Grip puts one hand up to his face to protect himself, but has only managed to cover half of his head. Half of the ball of light hits his hand, half his head.

 

 

 

The whole thing about Glowing Eyes only hurting someone when he hit their head was supposed to imply that the power was psionic, thus explaining why it causes Grip to have a mental alteration. After some discussion with Sean I realized it wasn't needed. Sometimes people just get hit in the head and things go out of whack. I think it's better not getting too specific.
